Columbia Housing and Redevelopment Corporation

To All CHRC Residents:

Please be advised that the Columbia Housing and Redevelopment Corporation (CHRC) in accordance with HUD regulations has adopted a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for Residents who are in violation of their Lease Agreement.

This includes all lease violations especially criminal activity, non-payment of rent, and those issues related to FRAUD (ie. unreported income, housing unauthorized persons not on your lease, subleasing your apartment to someone else for money, providing false information to receive housing, or leasing an apartment in your name while allowing another person to live in the apartment with your consent).

Effective immediately, if you have violated any terms of your Lease Agreement, subjecting you to eviction, after proper notice CHRC will, turn your matter over to its attorney to commence eviction proceedings in the Maury County General Sessions Court and may refer the matter to the District Attorney.

In matters related to non-payment of rent, CHRC will no longer accept payments or any other efforts to cure your breach of the Lease Agreement after the opportunity to cure your breach expired under Tennessee Law.

If you have any questions regarding this policy, please direct all comments and concerns to the main office within thirty (30) days of receipt of this Notice. As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding your Lease Agreement in general, please do not hesitate to contact my office.

We appreciate the opportunity to provide our residents with outstanding affordable housing services and thank you in advance for your cooperation with CHRC.
